We are so excited to host our mentor orientation for cohort 5 on Saturday, February 22nd at East Liberty Presbyterian Church (ELPC).

This day is dedicated to learning more about refugees, best practices in mentoring, and communicating with English Language Learners. There will be keynote speakers, childcare, breakfast, lunch, and breakout times where mentors can express their questions and excitement with fellow cohort 5 mentors. Our training sessions will focus around program details, setting expectations, and cultural norms and sensitivities. By the end of the day mentors will feel confident and equipped to foster respectful and caring relationships with their mentees.
