239 donors came together to raise $31,653.42—meeting our $25,000 match this week and making sure refugee families don’t face homelessness.

Because of your generosity, we were able to immediately jump in and pay March rent for 13 of our newest and most vulnerable refugee families and able to continue services for over 500 of our newest neighbors, ensuring they have the stability they need to rebuild their lives. These are families who have survived war, displacement, and unimaginable loss. Families doing everything they can to move forward.

Here are just a few of their stories:

• From Syria—A father who is quadriplegic, a mother 32 weeks pregnant, and two small children who arrived just last month. Their days are filled with medical appointments, and the children are still waiting to be enrolled in school. • From the Democratic Republic of the Congo—A mother of seven who arrived in mid-January and just moved out of temporary housing into a place they can finally call home. They had nowhere else to go. Now, they do.
• From Afghanistan—A family who arrived just before the holidays, including a newborn baby and a 4-year-old. Their parents are searching for jobs in a country they are still learning to navigate. With Ramadan beginning this Friday night, they finally feel safe and welcomed in their new city.
• From Sudan—A single mother raising three children, one still a toddler. She arrived last month with no family to lean on and no job yet. But because of this community, she is not alone.
• From Yemen—A family of six who fled war and uncertainty, now facing a new kind of battle—survival in a foreign country with no income and no stability. But they have Hello Neighbor by their side.
