Directly Support Families In Need

Our COVID-19 Direct Response program was born out of a need to deliver essential items to our families who are struggling with the economic ramifications of this public health crisis. 100% of our refugee families live on or below the poverty line, needing support more than ever as their incomes are threatened.

Since March, Hello Neighbor has hosted regular distributions at our office to supply our refugee neighbors with critical supplies including shelf-stable food boxes, feminine care and hygiene products, essential mom and baby items, back to school supplies, and so much more.

In addition to these distributions, our team of dedicated staff and volunteers has worked to deliver shelf stable food boxes and essential items to the families we serve, and partnered with community organizations and local drives to help supply critical resources and supplies to additional refugee and immigrant families in Pittsburgh.

Essential Distributions

We will continue to hold distributions of essential items at our office on a monthly to quarterly basis. Deliveries to Hello Neighbor families without transportation will occur after each distribution. If you are interested in volunteering at these events, please read more about ways to get involved.

We help families gain access to items like:

• Shelf stable food
• Fresh produce
• Prepared meals

Refugee Assistance Fund
