How To Engage With The Network

There are many ways to engage with the Network! Keep up to date with our most recent publications or join one of our free October events.

Hello Neighbor Network Publications

Our network of grassroots leaders working with refugees post-resettlement now has an online publication to amplify their voices through the Hello Neighbor Network Medium Channel.

The Hello Neighbor Network consists of grassroots organizations around the U.S. supporting refugees in their communities post-resettlement. They are friends, neighbors, and colleagues with refugees in their community and through close, trusting relationships these organizations and their leaders intimately understand the challenges and triumphs of our refugee neighbors.

If you haven’t already, be sure to check the first two weeks of Network publications:

In the coming weeks and months, you can find additional articles and OpEds from our Network members offering a perspective from within communities.

Be sure to subscribe to the channel so you don’t miss an article and when something resonates with you, help us to amplify the voices of refugees and their community-based nonprofits!

Supporting Refugees in a Challenging National Climate: The View from the Sky and from the Grassroots

Tuesday, October 27th at 2 p.m. EST

This September the president will set the number of refugees allowed to enter the U.S. in fiscal year 2021. Before the current administration, presidents ranging from Reagan to Bush to Obama have set the ceiling at at least 100,000. In 2020, less than 10,000 refugees have been admitted to this country. Despite the limitations of the administration, we know that the U.S. continues to offer refuge for many and our communities gain a great deal from refugee contributions. Join the Hello Neighbor Network Roundtable with grassroots nonprofit leaders to learn more about the national climate and hear examples of some of the most innovative programs happening for refugees and immigrants in communities across the country.
