Celebrate World Refugee Day and Immigrant Heritage Month Pittsburgh 2024 on Thursday June 20 at Schenley Plaza in Oakland from 4-8 PM!

Hello Neighbor will be hosting a celebration uniting people from diverse backgrounds to recognize the valuable contributions refugees and immigrants have given to our community. There will be cultural performances, inspiring speakers, lively music, dancing, global cuisine from refugee and immigrant-owned eateries, and handmade products from local artists.

This family-friendly event will give everyone the opportunity to learn about various organizations and the services they provide and deepen the understanding of support available in Pittsburgh.

June 20 marks World Refugee Day, a global observance honoring those forced to flee their homes. It's a poignant reminder of the challenges refugees face and the collective responsibility to protect their rights, support their integration, and seek solutions to their hardships.

There are numerous opportunities for our refugee and immigrant community members and business owners to participate. We are looking for talented artists and craft vendors, immigrant owned restaurants and food business and cultural performers (song, dance, poetry, etc). Tents, tables and chairs are provided free of cost for the vendors.
